BIOGRAPHY OF
RUFUS WOODY MARLEY









     Rufus Woody Marley - was born February 08, 1863 in Randolph County, North Carolina and wife Cora (Dunlap) Marley, sold their homestead in Yuma County, Colorado, and came by covered wagon to Mound Township in 1906.  They bought 160 acres west of Beagle from their aunt Frances (Marley) Hodson.  Here Rufus and Cor raised seven children.  Edith married Sam Bearly, Richard married Hazel Bones, Earl married Lora Cline, Phoeba married Chester Bartlett, Alvira married Collins Hamner, Johnny married Ferne Hinman and Gertrude married Ray Rupp.  They all attended Independece School, grew up and married in Miami County.
