BIOGRAPHY OF
FRANCES (MARLEY) LEDBETTER








     Frances (Marley) Ledbetter - was one of the first Marley's to move to Mound Township.  She married George Hodson September 09, 1876, a well-known farmer of the area.  They owned 160 acres west of Beagle.  In 1907 she sold the farm to her nephew, Rufus Woody Marley.  In 1928 the farm was sold to Challous Hay and in 1952, while the Hay family was attending Quaker Church, the farm house was struck by lightning and completely destroyed by fire.  Frances and George Hodson are buried at Spring Grove Quaker Cemetery.
